Essential Duties & Responsibilities: · Oversees organization and purchasing of school supplies, classroom materials, and classroom furniture. · Attends IEP meetings. · Oversees educational reporting systems, ensuring that the NPS meets timelines for submitting two progress reports and two report cards per year. · Ensures that high school credits and transcripts are appropriately maintained and sent to other schools. · Maintains grade level roster. · Manages Title I, II, V, VI, and VII funding. · Coordinates school rituals surrounding transitions, celebrations, graduations, etc. · Coordinates DAT-9 testing. · Oversees morning routine (unlocking buildings, checking absence voicemail, assigning floaters, writing up daily memo board, etc.) · Plans an Open House at least annually. · Provides collateral supervision of activity instructors. Supports these staff in achieving goals of personal job satisfaction and provision of a high quality educational environment. · Trains special education teachers, activity instructors, and non-educational staff in topics related to special education and educational enrichment activities. · Substitutes foe special educational teachers as needed. · Maintains excellent communication with all program components, which includes attending treatment reviews, program integration, and other meetings as needed. · Oversees planning of fieldtrips to ensure educational value, safety, and good communication. · Oversees the planning of school events and special assemblies. · In coordination with the Nonpublic School Principal, plans and ensures implementation of a high quality academic curriculum, including ordering curriculum supplies, maintaining curriculum guides and manuals, maintaining the curriculum room, obtaining and renewing educational subscriptions, and educational video accounts. · Effectively participates in the integration of all aspects of the treatment program with the educational program. · Coordinates the development, writing, and presentation of Functional Behavioral Analyses and Positive Behavior Intervention Plans in accordance with the Hughes Bill. · Access to a vehicle required for NPS business. Possesses a valid CA driver’s license. · Act as a surrogate parent in IEPs at other Nonpublic Schools in reciprocation to similar services provided to Lincoln. · Instruct subordinates concerning all LCC safety policies, procedures, and rules, and enforcing these within work group. Ensure that subordinates attend all required safety training sessions. Require immediate reporting of all workplace hazards, safety rule violations, near misses, and work related injuries. · Other duties as assigned.
