Knowledge of computer operations required. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: 1. Must be able to provide information and assistance to students singly or in groups on a variety of topics, to adolescent audiences in the areas of post high school placement, the world of work, military service, etc. 2. Must be able to provide supportive assistance to adolescents in such a way and to aid them in coping with                their adjustments to school and the environments. 3. Must be able to provide assistance in crisis situations involving adolescents, individually or in groups. 4. Must be able to assist professional staff members in assessing student performance and in recommending appropriate grade/subject placements. Develop student schedules. 5. Must be able to develop student schedules. 6. Must be able to function as a member of student diagnostic teams to assist in the development of                                  appropriate learning plans for pupils. 7. Must be able to assist the administration and interpretation of group and individual student achievement/aptitude testing programs. 8. Must be able to communicate effectively orally, and in writing with parents to student ` progress/problems/needs/plans. 9. Must assist in program evaluation on a regular basis and participate in appropriate in-service development programs. 10. Must assist in supervision and direction of students as assigned. 11. Must communicate with administrators as to individual and group student needs. 12. Must be able to work with community resources addressing adolescent, individual and group needs.
