Job Description



The Deputy Head of School / Head of Admissions will have a critical role in the development of the School. S/He will maximize enrollment and maintain an admissions reporting system. S/He will also make sure enrolled families are fully satisfied at Tessa and will maintain a sense of community. S/He will also supervise daily school organization and schedules and will support the Head of School and the Founder as needed.


S/He will have a significant input in all school major decisions.




The ideal candidate will possess the following attributes:

  • preferably has experience in bilingual education
  • preferably has experience with the PYP program (International Baccalaureate)

The salary is commensurate with the responsibilities of the position. In addition it will potentially grow significantly as the school grows. The position includes medical insurance coverage for the Deputy Head of School, spouse and qualifying dependents 18 years or under who reside with the Deputy Head of School full time.  The school also offers professional development, and free tuition for eligible dependants.


This is a Senior Leadership Position at an IB-PYP international school. Job duties include:

-> Maximizing enrollment

•Conveying school mission with prospective parents

•Communicating with prospective parents

•Giving school tours

•Organizing and presenting Open Houses

•Keeping track of all leads

•Maximizing use of CRM 

•Managing waitlists, focusing on committed families likely to stay for the long run

•Training other team members to convey Tessa’s mission to prospective families


Providing reporting on admissions progress

•Ensuring accurate reporting (before and after application)

•Weekly meetings with management team

Presenting weekly follow-up plan 


Making sure enrolled families are fully satisfied at Tessa / maintain a sense of community

•Communication with Tessa families

•Daily communication

•Weekly Newsletter to parents

•Weekly brainstorm communication plan (post themes)

•Reviewingteachers newsletters

•Answering emails

•Creating periodic satisfaction surveys

•Identifying of families at risk of leaving and relevant actions to keep their child  being educated at Tessa

•Maximizing quality of teachers communication with parents

•Maximizing the number of students staying for the long run

•Ensuring the recruitment of high quality applicants who will convey the school mission and values

•Supervising recruiting process in collaboration with Administrator

•Reviewing job ads

•Interviewing applicants preselected

•Organizing demos and interviews with other Tessa team members


Supporting the Head of School

•Administering staffing during holidays

•Paying special attention to hygiene / cleanliness and report to admin

•Ensuring school presence during holidays 

•Pastoral Care

•Ad hoc support as needed
