Occupational Therapist School Setting in Tavernier, FL

An opportunity exists for an experienced Occupational Therapist to support students in a K-12 educational environment located in Tavernier, FL. This role focuses on providing therapeutic services to children with mild to moderate disabilities, including those on the autism spectrum.

Qualifications:

• Valid Florida Occupational Therapy license
• Medicaid provider number
• Experience working with pediatric populations, especially in school settings
• Strong background in assessing, evaluating, and developing therapy plans
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to work individually with students and attend IEP meetings

Location:

Responsibilities:

• Provide assessments and evaluations to determine students' therapy needs
• Deliver direct therapy services focused on pragmatics, receptive and expressive language, reading, and writing delays
• Collaborate with educators, parents, and other professionals to develop and implement individualized therapy plans
• Attend and actively participate in IEP meetings to discuss student progress and required interventions
• Support students with high-functioning autism in achieving their educational and therapeutic goals
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of therapy services provided
