Virtual Speech Language Pathologist - Lexington, KY

Schedule and Caseload Structure This full-time remote position involves 37.5 hours per week delivering virtual speech therapy services to students from kindergarten through high school levels. You'll maintain a manageable caseload of 45-55 students with diverse communication needs, providing both direct intervention services and collaborative consultation. The flexible scheduling accommodates optimal student learning times while ensuring efficient case management and documentation.
Student Population and Service Focus Your caseload will include students with speech sound disorders, language impairments, social communication difficulties, and voice disorders. You'll primarily work with self-directed students who thrive in virtual learning environments, though your caseload will also include students requiring more structured support and intensive intervention. The mixed complexity levels provide opportunities for varied therapeutic approaches and continuous professional growth.
Primary Professional Duties

• Conduct comprehensive virtual evaluations using standardized assessment instruments
• Create individualized intervention programs aligned with student IEP goals
• Deliver engaging virtual therapy sessions incorporating interactive digital materials
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams through video conferencing platforms
• Complete detailed clinical documentation and progress monitoring reports
• Participate in IEP development, review, and transition planning meetings
• Provide consultation and training to educational staff and families
• Maintain professional development and continuing education compliance

Education and Licensure Requirements

• Master's degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders
• ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP)
• Current Kentucky speech-language pathology licensure
• Minimum 2 years of school-based practice experience
• Virtual therapy experience strongly preferred
• Knowledge of special education law and IEP processes
• Experience with English language learners beneficial
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
