    Speech-Language Pathologists Full Time
    Position Summary:
    The Acton-Boxborough Regional School District Public Schools, a prek-12 district, is seeking a full-time Speech-Language Pathologists. The SLP works as a member of the special education team providing direct and consultative services for children with communication and other disabilities. The SLP collaborates with teachers, special educators, other school personnel, and parents to develop and implement individual or group programs, and support classroom activities. Services are provided within the general education classroom, on a pull out basis and/or within the context of a specialized program.

    The student population is varied with disabilities including specific learning disabilities, ASD, ADHD, social-emotional, etc. Successful candidates should have extensive knowledge and experience with AAC and assistive technologies and FM systems. Successful candidates must have demonstrated success with and be knowledgeable about a variety of interventions for a range of disabilities. Experience and training in social skill and pragmatic language development a must. Must be willing to co-treat and co-teach.

    In addition to direct student services, the Speech-Language Pathologist is responsible for the evaluation of students initially referred or for three-year reevaluations for caseload students. Candidate must have training and experience with the administration and interpretation of a wide range of assessments and evaluation tools.
    Key Duties and Responsibilities:
    • Plan for the effective specialized instruction and intervention for students on IEPs within and outside the general education classroom;
    • Administer formal diagnostic assessments and tests for students initially referred and for three-year reevaluations of caseload students;
    • Administer ongoing progress monitoring, strategic monitoring and benchmark systems;
    • Write comprehensive progress reports and IEPs
    • Collaborate with general education and other related service staff with respect to appropriate services, accommodations and modifications;
    • Provide ongoing positive communication with parents;
    • Collect and analyze student data against IEP goals
    Qualifications:
    • Licensed by the Commonwealth of MA as Speech Language Pathologist
    • Licensed by Massachusetts Department of Education as a Teacher of Speech, Language and Hearing Disorders, CCC-SLP preferred
    • Knowledge of technologies to enhance communication
    • Successful public school experience as a Speech-Language Pathologist
    • Knowledge of research-based practices and interventions to address communication
    • Knowledge and training in social skills interventions
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills required
