Speech Language Pathologist in Luray, VA

An exciting opportunity awaits for a dedicated professional specialized in speech-language pathology within an educational setting. This position focuses on providing essential support to students, ensuring that their communication needs are effectively met.

Qualifications:

• Certified Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP - CCC or SLP - CFY)
• Experience working in school settings, particularly with K-12 students
• Strong understanding of the Regulations Governing Special Education in Virginia
• Proficient in the IEP process, including evaluation, data interpretation, and progress reporting
• Ability to work collaboratively with educational staff and parents

Location:

• Luray, VA, serving a diverse elementary school population from PK through grade 5

Responsibilities:

• Assess and address the speech and language needs of approximately 44 students
• Conduct initial evaluations and determine eligibility for services
• Develop, implement, and monitor individualized education programs (IEPs)
• Collaborate with teachers and staff to support students communication goals
• Provide direct therapy services and maintain accurate progress reports
• Familiarize and navigate the Virginia IEP system for documentation and billing purposes
