Eufaula City Schools Job Description Position Title: Speech Language Pathologist Qualifications: Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders; Valid state licensure or certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist; Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred Reports To: Special Education Director Supervises: Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs) as needed. Job Goal: The Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) provides diagnostic, therapeutic, and consultative services to students with communication disorders in the educational setting. The SLP works collaboratively with educators, families, and other professionals to support students' academic, social, and emotional development through improved communication skills. Length of Contract: 187 days PERFORMANCE OF RESPONSIBILITIES: Conduct comprehensive speech, language, and communication assessments. Interpret assessment data and write evaluation reports in compliance with IDEA. Participate in the development and review of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs). Design and implement individualized and group speech-language therapy plans. Provide direct services to students with identified speech/language needs. Use evidence-based strategies to address articulation, language, fluency, voice, and pragmatic skills. Work as a member of the multidisciplinary team to support student learning. Collaborate with teachers, specialists, and families to support classroom communication needs. Provide professional development and resources to school staff. Maintain accurate records of therapy sessions, progress, and data collection. Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and district special education requirements. Contribute to timely completion of IEPs and progress reports. Serve students across diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds, including English learners. Performs other tasks as assigned as long as they are not in conflict with board policy. WORKING CONDITIONS School environment (elementary, middle, high, and/or private school) Travel between buildings may be required Caseload may include students with mild to severe disabilities EVALUATION: Evaluation is by the Special Education Director or Designee SALARY: According to approved salary schedule
