Speech Language Pathologist

SUMMARY

Speech Language Pathologist designs, develops and evaluates Speech and Language therapy services for an Individual Education Plan (IEP) to meet the specific needs of students who qualify for speech and language therapy services.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS FOR SPEECH LANGUAGE PATHOLOGIST

• A Master's or more advanced degree, from an accredited institution, in speech pathology or communication disorders.
• Current Certificate of Clinical Competency from the American Speech/Language Hearing Association
• Must hold current Arizona Department of Health Services (DHS) Speech-Language Pathology License
• Arizona Department of Education Speech-Language Pathology Certificate
• Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS AFTER HIRE

• Proof of immunity to rubeola (measles) and rubella (German measles), or proof of MMR immunization.
• Bloodborne Pathogen training offered by TUSD Risk Management Department.

COMMENTS

• Speech Language Pathologist pay range $61,557.66 to $71,466.54/year
• APPLICATION ON TUSD TALENT PORTAL IS REQUIRED
• Effective: 2024-2025 SCHOOL YEAR
• LOCATION: Exceptional Education Department - District Wide - Sites May Vary
• FTE : 1.0 - 7.5 hours per day - 2 positions available
• Work Calendar: 9.5 month
• Positions less than 30 hours per week are not eligible for district benefits.

Probationary Contracts will be issued for any contingent Certifications, Positions that are 0.6 FTE or less, and certified employees within their first three years with the District.
