Qualifications:
- Active Illinois Speech-Language Pathologist license
- Professional Education License (PEL)
- CCC (Certification of Clinical Competence) in Speech-Language Pathology
- Previous experience working with special education students preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to develop and implement IEPs (Individualized Education Programs)
Responsibilities:
- Provide assessment, diagnosis, and treatment for students requiring speech and language support
- Collaborate with educators and support staff to create and implement individualized treatment plans
- Conduct regular progress evaluations and adjust therapy goals as needed
- Facilitate group and individual therapy sessions in accordance with IEP requirements
- Engage in meetings with parents, guardians, and staff to discuss student progress and needs
- Maintain accurate records of therapy sessions and student progress
