Title: Maternity Sub Speech-Language Pathologist (FTE)

Supervisor: Reports to Director of Student Support

Position: Faculty

Duration: October-November 2025

LFCDS, founded in 1888 and located on a 30-acre campus about 30 miles north of Chicago, Illinois, is a co-educational, independent day school serving 420 students from age 2 through eighth grade. The School has a long tradition of producing thoughtful, confident, and successful students. Children are known, loved, and challenged at LFCDS, and a state-of-the-art facility provides a remarkable setting for inspired teaching, personal growth, and nurturing a love of learning.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide speech and language therapy to students ranging from age 2 through 8th grade
  • Conduct screenings and evaluations to determine eligibility for services
  • Implement Individualized Service Plans (ISPs) and 504 Plans
  • Write and monitor individualized speech and language goals based on student needs
  • Participate in monthly consultation meetings with teachers and administrators to discuss student progress and classroom strategies
  • Collaborate with parents and classroom teachers to support language development and carryover of skills
  • Screen applicants for the First Step 2-year-old program
