A local school is currently seeking a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to join their team for the upcoming school year. The primary role of the SLP will involve evaluating and diagnosing various speech, language, and communication disorders. They will also be responsible for developing personalized treatment plans and offering guidance, communication strategies, and education to families and caregivers of individuals with communication disorders. The specific caseload will be determined accordingly. The director is actively reviewing applications and conducting interviews for this position.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and provide treatment for communication disorders.
- Create customized treatment and therapy plans to address the unique needs of diverse patients.
- Perform screenings to identify voice or speech disorders.
- Educate patients and their families about speech disorders, including the underlying causes such as disabilities or traumatic events.
- Maintain comprehensive records of patient conditions, care plans, therapies, and progress.
Experience:
- Previous experience working as a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP), preferably with exposure to a school environment.
Education:
- Hold a master's degree in Speech Language Pathology.
- Full accreditation (CCC) is preferred.
- Must have completed at least the Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) requirement.
