Role Summary:
The SLP will evaluate students, deliver speech-language therapy, and contribute to a multi-disciplinary team supporting student development. This role includes active involvement in IEP planning and progress monitoring in partnership with educators and families.
Responsibilities:
Conduct speech and language assessments to determine service needs
Develop therapy goals aligned with IEPs and implement appropriate interventions
Provide speech-language therapy in individual and small group formats
Document progress and maintain compliance with school and state guidelines
Participate in IEP meetings and coordinate with teachers, parents, and specialists
Offer consultation to school staff on communication strategies and classroom support
Qualifications:
Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution
Must have an active Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with Speech-Language Pathology endorsement
Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred
Knowledge of school-based documentation and compliance standards
Strong communication and collaboration skills
Previous school or pediatric experience preferred
