Position Overview:
The SLP will provide individualized support to students with communication disorders, contribute to the development of IEPs, and work closely with teachers and families to ensure effective service delivery in a school setting.
Key Responsibilities:
Evaluate students for speech and language impairments using standardized assessments
Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs in compliance with district and state guidelines
Deliver speech therapy sessions in individual or group formats
Maintain detailed documentation of services and student progress
Participate in IEP and multidisciplinary team meetings
Coordinate with educators, parents, and other support personnel to reinforce therapy strategies in the classroom
Qualifications:
Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution
Must hold an active Illinois state teaching license with a Speech-Language Pathology endorsement (PEL)
Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred
Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
Prior school-based or pediatric experience preferred
Job Details:
Location: Maywood, IL
Work Type: Full-time, onsite
Caseload: Ranges across K12 (specific assignment determined by district needs)
Schedule: Monday through Friday, during school hours
