A healthcare-focused Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) or Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) is needed to support pediatric patients in an elementary school setting. This contract opportunity spans the upcoming school year and is located in Middletown, Delaware.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) for SLP or appropriate credentialing for SLPA
- Experience working with pediatric populations, particularly within healthcare or educational settings
- For SLP candidates: Completion of Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) preferred or completed
- Ability to assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, and communication disorders in school-aged children
- Comfort collaborating with school staff, families, and healthcare professionals to develop individualized treatment plans
- Strong documentation and communication skills
Responsibilities:
- Provide speech and language therapy services to elementary school students with communication needs
- Conduct evaluations and develop individualized education plans (IEPs) aligned with healthcare and school guidelines
- Monitor student progress and adjust interventions accordingly
- Collaborate closely with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to support student success
- Maintain compliance with state and federal regulations and certification requirements throughout the contract
