Location: Norwalk, CT A part-time opportunity is available for an early childhood educator to support the Extended School Year (ESY) program in a preschool setting. This contract role offers a focused, short-term assignment with consistent hours to work with a preschool caseload, providing specialized support to young learners during the summer months. Key Responsibilities: Deliver developmentally appropriate instruction and support to preschool-aged children Collaborate with educational staff to implement individualized learning plans Monitor and document student progress throughout the ESY program Maintain a safe, nurturing, and engaging classroom environment Communicate effectively with families and team members regarding student growth Qualifications/Experience Needed: Experience working with preschool-aged children in an educational or therapeutic setting Familiarity with early childhood development principles and practices Strong communication and organizational skills Ability to work independently during early dismissal schedules Previous ESY or summer program experience is beneficial, but not required Schedule and Hours: Monday through Friday, half-days with work completed by 12:00 or 1:00 PM Total of 17 to 20 hours per week This position is ideal for professionals seeking part-time work during the summer months in an early childhood educational environment.
