Job Description
A full-time speech-language pathologist (SLP) is needed for the 2025-2026 school year to provide on-site services in a K-12 school setting located in Gaithersburg, MD. This contract position offers consistent weekly hours with a guaranteed caseload, allowing for meaningful engagement with students across a wide range of grade levels.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments for students K-12
- Develop, implement, and adjust individualized treatment plans tailored to student needs
- Provide therapy in both individual and group settings
- Collaborate closely with teachers, parents, and other specialists to support student progress
- Monitor and document student outcomes and modify therapy strategies accordingly
- Participate actively in IEP meetings, offering professional insights and recommendations
- Train and support school staff with effective speech and language strategies
Qualifications:
- Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Valid Maryland SLP license required
- Preferred experience in school-based speech-language pathology
- Strong communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills
