A part-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) with a Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) is needed to support an early childhood program in Joliet, IL. This contract position spans the full school year and requires approximately 18 hours per week across 2.5 days, providing focused speech and language services to young learners.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct speech and language evaluations, screenings, and assessments for early childhood students
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to the needs of each child
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and other professionals to support communication goals
- Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports
- Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and provide professional recommendations
- Utilize evidence-based practices to enhance student communication skills in a school setting
Desired Qualifications:
- Valid Speech-Language Pathologist license with Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA
- Experience working with early childhood populations preferred
- Strong understanding of developmental speech and language disorders
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
Additional Opportunities:There are also two full-time elementary speech-language pathology maternity leave contracts available, running from August to October and August to December, respectively.
