This opportunity is ideal for a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) with credentials such as CCC, Pediatrics experience, CFY, or School-based certification, eager to support students in a school setting. The role is based in Puyallup, WA, serving primarily high school students (grades 9-12) with the possibility of some elementary involvement. The caseload will involve moderate-severity cases, providing a diverse and rewarding professional experience.
Key Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid SLP certification with CCC, Pediatrics, CFY, or School-based credentials
- Experience working with pediatric populations in educational settings
- Ability to manage a moderate caseload effectively
- Flexibility to travel between schools, as locations are within a mile of each other
Location and Schedule Details:
- Primary worksite at a high school with occasional visits to nearby elementary schools
- Contracted for 35 hours per week
- School-day schedule from 7:45 a.m. to 2:20 p.m.
- Position starts at the end of August, with the first school day on September 3
Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech and language therapy services to students ranging from elementary through high school
- Assess, plan, and implement individualized treatment plans
- Collaborate with educators and families to support student progress
- Maintain accurate documentation and comply with school policies
