A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) position is available for the 2025-2026 school year within a K-8 public school setting located near Wausau, WI. This contract role spans from August 12, 2025, through May 22, 2026, offering an opportunity to work with a diverse caseload primarily composed of English Learners across multiple schools in the Abbotsford area. While the preference is for a full-time professional, part-time candidates may be considered.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide speech and language therapy services to a caseload of approximately 30-35 students in grades K-8
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to the unique communication needs of a diverse student population
- Collaborate with educators, families, and other specialists to support student progress
- Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with district and professional guidelines
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to a positive interdisciplinary environment
Qualifications:
- Certification in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC) or completion of Clinical Fellowship Year (SLP-CFY)
- Experience or interest in pediatric speech therapy within school and healthcare settings
- Ability to work effectively with English Learners and diverse student populations
- Proficient knowledge of assessment, intervention, and progress monitoring strategies
- Strong communication and organizational skills
