A full-time Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) is needed to provide FMLA leave coverage in a K-12 school setting from August 18, 2025, through November 14, 2025. This role is based in Elgin, IL, and involves delivering comprehensive speech-language services to students across grades K-12.
Key responsibilities include assessing, diagnosing, and treating speech, language, and communication disorders in students. The position requires collaboration with teachers, parents, and healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs). The SLP will provide therapy both in-person and via teletherapy as needed, ensuring continuity of care during the leave period.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology
- Experience in pediatric healthcare and school-based settings
- Ability to deliver teletherapy services effectively
- Completion of Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) preferred or equivalent experience
- Strong understanding of speech and language development and disorders in children
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
This contract position operates Monday through Friday, aligned with school attendance days, from 7:25 a.m. to 3:25 p.m. The selected candidate will play a vital role in supporting students communication needs during this temporary assignment.
