Jersey City Public Schools is seeking a full-time Occupational Therapist (OT) to help students build the motor and adaptive skills needed for independence in the classroom. This position is ideal for therapists passionate about supporting student growth in an engaging school environment.

Position Overview:
As an OT, youll assess student needs, create treatment plans, and provide therapy designed to improve participation and functional performance across academic settings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct evaluations and document findings according to state and district standards

  • Develop individualized intervention plans aligned with IEP goals

  • Address fine motor coordination, sensory integration, and self-care skills

  • Consult with teachers, support staff, and families to promote carryover

  • Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to student progress planning

  • Maintain accurate and timely service records

Required Qualifications:

  • Masters degree in Occupational Therapy

  • Current New Jersey Occupational Therapy License

  • NJ DOE Educational Services Certificate (OT Endorsement)

  • School-based or pediatric experience preferred

  • Effective communication and time-management skills

Job Details:

  • Type: Full-time, onsite

  • Schedule: MondayFriday, school hours
