A dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) is needed to provide comprehensive therapeutic services within a middle school setting. This full-time, contract role is an excellent opportunity for a skilled professional passionate about supporting students communication needs from August 13th, 2025 through May 21st, 2026.
Location: Waukegan, IL
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 7.45 hours/day, totaling 37.5 hours per week
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct speech therapy services tailored to student needs
- Conduct assessments and evaluations to identify speech and language challenges
- Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Attend and actively participate in IEP meetings
- Utilize Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) devices effectively
- Maintain detailed progress reports to track student improvement
Qualifications:
- Masters Degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Valid Illinois Speech-Language Pathologist License (IL SLP-CCC)
- Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL)
- Experience in pediatric speech therapy and working within school settings strongly preferred
- Knowledge of teletherapy techniques and clinical fellowship year (CFY) experience is beneficial
