Job Description


This position offers a part-time opportunity for a skilled Occupational Therapist (OT) or Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to work within an early childhood and elementary school setting. The role supports students in developing essential skills to participate fully in classroom activities, with a focus on fine motor skills, sensory processing, visual-motor integration, and self-care abilities. The contract runs from August 2025 through May 2026, providing a stable and structured schedule of 15 hours per week.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting students to engage alongside peers by addressing physical and sensory needs
  • Modifying tasks and classroom environments to accommodate individual student requirements
  • Conducting diagnostic and evaluation testing when necessary
  • Preparing detailed reports based on assessments and observations
  • Developing and maintaining Individualized Education Program (IEP) objectives and accommodations
  • Collaborating effectively with parents, teachers, and colleagues to discuss student progress and support strategies

Qualifications:

  • Illinois state license or qualification to hold one for OT or COTA
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities
