Montgomery County ESC is seeking a collaborative and self-directed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to support early childhood programs within community-based child care settings. This unique role focuses on capacity-building through consultation and coaching rather than direct service delivery or evaluation. The SLP will play a critical role in supporting the implementation of Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS) for communication and language development within inclusive early learning environments. The position emphasizes prevention, early intervention, and strengthening adult-child interactions through evidence-based practices. Occasional targeted screening or assessment may occur to inform team-based planning. The SLP will be supported by a multidisciplinary advisory team dedicated to high-quality implementation and continuous improvement.

Start Date - 8/1/2025
Contract - 215 days
Salary - commensurate with experience

Qualifications:

• Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
  Valid Ohio SLP license and Ohio Department of Education Pupil Services license (or eligibility).
• Experience working in early childhood or preschool settings preferred.
• Knowledge of MTSS, early communication development, inclusive practices, and trauma-informed care.
• Strong consultation, coaching, and collaboration skills within interdisciplinary teams.
• Ability to work independently while coordinating closely with teams and leadership.
