Position Title : School Based Occupational Therapist
Department : School
Reporting Function : School Director
Salary Range : $70,000-$92,000 based on education + experience
Location : Denver, CO 80216 - 5187 Sherman St.

We are seeking an Occupational Therapist to support the Laradon School. Reporting to the School Director, this role will support Laradons mission by providing occupational therapy and services to the Laradon School students and collaborate with the special education team.

No day is ever alike but you can generally look forward to the following responsibilities:

  • Provide occupational therapy services as written in students Individualized Education Plans (IEPs).

  • Schedule and conduct individual and group therapy.

  • Teach ADLs (Activities of Daily Living) to assigned classrooms.

  • Provide consultation and support to classroom staff as needed.

  • Conduct occupational therapy assessments for IEPs.

  • Participate in IEP meetings.

  • Participate in weekly Laradon classroom treatment team meetings.

  • Participate in Case Plan Review Meetings

  • Implement student sensory strategies as needed.

  • Provide training to staff on individual goals and data tracking.

  • Complete service logs for each student on caseload.

  • Maintain files and appropriate paperwork for designated caseload.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Bachelors degree in occupational therapy from an accredited school

Registered and licensed occupational therapist (OTR/L)

Experience working with students with special needs, Intellectual Disabilities and/or Autism preferred.

Ability to demonstrate patience, flexibility, strong communication skills, and positive attitude.

Physical requirements include the ability to exert up to 50 pounds of force; physical condition to enable walking, standing, sitting, stooping, kneeling, crouching or crawling; stamina to be on feet and active for full workdays; ability to speak or exchange information in an audible manner.

Valid driving license, good driving record, reliable transportation
