Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) - Pittston, PA

A Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) opportunity is available for the 20252026 school year, starting September 9, 2025, through June 9, 2026. This contract role offers 35 hours per week of in-person services, supporting K12 students with diverse communication needs. Located near Pittston, PA, this position provides a meaningful chance to impact students' speech and language development within a collaborative educational environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive speech, language, voice, and fluency evaluations for students.
• Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to each students unique communication goals.
• Deliver direct speech-language therapy and offer indirect services as needed.
• Collaborate closely with special education staff, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to support student progress.
• Maintain accurate documentation compliant with school and state regulations.
• Participate actively in IEP meetings and provide ongoing progress updates.

Qualifications:

• Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
• Valid Pennsylvania SLP license or eligibility for licensure.
• Pennsylvania Department of Education Certification (Instructional Level I or II) is preferred.
• Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) is preferred; candidates completing their Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) are encouraged to apply.
• Previous experience in a school-based setting is advantageous but not required.
