The Speech-Language Pathologist shall be responsible for providing diagnostic and intervention services for students with speech, language, and hearing disorders, helping students to access the general education curriculum. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Provided speech-language evaluations for students referred by school personnel, parents, and coordinating agencies. Recommend appropriate placement and service delivery for students eligible to receive speech-language services. Provide appropriate speech-language management of communicative disorders. Refer for additional speech-language evaluation and consultation when indicated. Provide consultative services to school staff by sharing and demonstrating specific techniques and working with multidisciplinary teams to facilitate relevant and consistent interventions for targeted students. Attend professional meetings, in-services, and workshops that provide information regarding communication disorders. Develop and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) for students with speech/language impairments and assist with IEPs for students with speech/language as a related service. Provide opportunities for student observation and supervise graduate students from state colleges and universities during their clinical practicum. Maintain and submit information/records, including progress reports for all students. Additional duties that may be assigned by the immediate supervisor. Master's degree; American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) certification (Clinical Fellowship Year considered); Oklahoma State Department of Education certification in Speech-Language Pathology; Oklahoma State Board licensure in Speech-Language Pathology.
