Job Description


This part-time physical therapy position offers the opportunity to deliver specialized services within a K-12 educational setting for the 2025-2026 school year. The role is based in Providence, RI, providing therapy 3-5 hours per week while supporting students Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals through direct intervention and collaboration.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Delivering physical therapy services aligned with each students IEP objectives
  • Conducting evaluations and updating treatment plans as necessary
  • Collaborating closely with teachers, occupational therapists, speech-language pathologists, and other school personnel
  • Monitoring, documenting, and reporting on student progress
  • Participating in IEP meetings and contributing professional insights
  • Ensuring all therapy services comply with relevant state and federal regulations

Desired qualifications and experience:

  • Masters or Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program
  • Valid Rhode Island Physical Therapist License
  • Prior experience in school-based or pediatric physical therapy preferred
  • Strong interpersonal skills to work effectively with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams
  • Excellent organizational and communication abilities
