A contract opportunity is available for an Occupational Therapist to support students across K-12 grades in a school setting. This role is based in Bixby, OK, and focuses on delivering tailored therapeutic services to help students achieve their functional and educational goals.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct evaluations to identify students strengths and challenges related to their occupational performance
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans aligned with student needs and educational objectives
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other educational professionals to ensure integrated support
- Provide direct therapy services to students, adapting strategies as needed to meet diverse needs
- Maintain thorough documentation of student progress and therapy sessions in compliance with school policies
- Participate in meetings related to Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and other student support plans
Preferred qualifications:
- Licensed or certified Occupational Therapist with credentials valid for practice in Oklahoma
- Experience working with children and adolescents in school environments
- Knowledge of K-12 educational settings and ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to adapt therapy techniques to a variety of developmental and learning challenges
