Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) Part-Time Contract Position
Location: Long Beach, CA (K-12 School Setting)

A specialized opportunity is available for a certified Speech-Language Pathologist with strong expertise in both pediatric and school-based settings, focusing on supporting students through Individualized Education Programs (IEPs). This contract role spans the regular school year (NSY) with potential involvement during extended school year sessions (ESY).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide speech-language therapy services tailored to K-12 students, with a focus on mild to moderate and moderate to severe disabilities
  • Conduct assessments and develop, implement, and monitor IEP goals and interventions
  • Collaborate closely with educational staff, families, and multidisciplinary teams to support student progress
  • Deliver therapy sessions, approximately once per week, with potential for additional hours as needed throughout the year
  • Utilize American Sign Language (ASL) skills in support of student communication needs

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Valid California Speech-Language Pathology license required
  • Credentialed SLP, with experience in pediatric healthcare and school settings strongly preferred
  • Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) candidates or Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) consideration possible based on ASL proficiency
  • Familiarity with diverse caseloads encompassing mild/moderate and moderate/severe speech and language disabilities
  • Ability to participate in interviews promptly via Zoom
