School Occupational Therapist - Rockford, Michigan

A school-based Occupational Therapist position is available to provide specialized therapy services to students from kindergarten through 12th grade. Key Responsibilities:

• Assess and evaluate students' fine motor, sensory processing, and functional performance skills
• Develop and implement individualized therapy plans to support students educational goals
• Collaborate with educators, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to integrate therapy objectives into classroom activities
• Document student progress and provide ongoing reports in compliance with school policies
• Support students in improving participation and independence in school-related tasks

Qualifications:

• Valid Occupational Therapy license with experience in a school setting preferred
• Familiarity with IDEA and school-based therapy regulations
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with children, families, and school staff
• Ability to adapt therapeutic techniques to meet diverse student needs across grades K-12
• Prior experience with pediatric populations in educational environments is highly desirable
