New Jersey Institute for Disabilities (NJID) is one of the largest not-for-profit agencies of its kind in the nation. We are currently recruiting a physical therapist to work with students with multiple developmental and related disabilities aged 3-21 years at our Lakeview School located in Edison, NJ. Provide physical therapy services as specified in each student's Individual Educational Plan. Review and evaluate physician referrals, students' medical records, and IEPs to determine the physical therapy treatment required within the appropriate APTA codes and guidelines for ethical practice. Responsibilities include performing and recording necessary written evaluations, measurements, and standardized tests. You will also plan and prepare written treatment programs based on assessment and available client data.

Candidates with prior experience working with students with developmental and related disabilities are encouraged to apply.

Job Requirements:

  • NJ DOE Certification as a Physical Therapist
  • Bachelor's degree from an approved school of physical therapy
  • Must be eligible for licensure as a Physical Therapist in the state of NJ

Location: Edison County: Middlesex

Hours Per Work Week: 35 Weekly Work Schedule: Mon - Fri 8:30 a.m.- 4 p.m.
