Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) is needed to provide maternity leave coverage from August 25 to October 3 at an elementary school serving students in grades K-4. This contract role offers an opportunity to support a diverse caseload while working closely with educators and families to enhance student communication and academic success. Key Responsibilities: Conduct speech and language screenings, comprehensive evaluations, and assessments in accordance with IDEA and PA Chapter 14 regulations. Develop Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) with measurable, student-centered goals. Deliver direct therapy services in both individual and group formats, utilizing classroom and pull-out settings. Collaborate with teachers, parents, and related service providers to address communication needs in academic and functional contexts. Participate actively in IEP meetings, multidisciplinary team discussions, and eligibility determination processes. Maintain detailed documentation of therapy sessions, progress reports, and Medicaid billing as applicable. Provide consultation and training to staff on communication strategies and augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) supports. Adhere to professional and ethical standards set forth by ASHA and the Pennsylvania Department of Education. Engage in child find initiatives and RTI/MTSS processes within the school district as appropriate. Qualifications: Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology. Valid Pennsylvania Department of Education Certification for Speech and Language Impaired PK-12. Current Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred; Clinical Fellows (CFs) considered with district supervision. Comprehensive understanding of IDEA, IEP development, and data-driven progress monitoring. Strong collaboration, communication, and organizational abilities. Satisfactory clearances including Pennsylvania Criminal History, Child Abuse, and FBI Fingerprinting. This contract position offers a meaningful role in supporting student success in a dynamic elementary school setting.
