NOTICE OF EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY The Elma School District is accepting applications for the following certificated position: 2025-2026 (1.0 FTE) Elma Middle School Speech Language Pathologist Date Posted: 06/12/2025 Position will remain open until filled Category: Certificated ETO Salary Schedule Rate Range: $64,711.58 - $122.591.66 Benefits Include: Twelve (12) Days of Sick Leave per school year Two (2) Personal Leave Days per school year Washington Paid Family Medical Leave Washington State Department of Retirement Systems (DRS) DCP - Deferred Compensation Program Medical; Dental; Vision; Basic Life; AD&D; LTD Insurance; FSA, VEBA and DCAP) Required Qualifications: A valid Washington State Teaching ESA Certificate Endorsed in Speech-Language Pathology WSP/FBI fingerprints background clearance (fee paid by the employee) A Certification of Clinical Competencies (CCCs) Clinical Fellowship Year candidate accepted Knowledge and/or experience with federal and state special education regulations, preferred Must be able to safely lift and/or move equipment and supplies as needed in the course of responsibilities Regular attendance is an essential function of this position Experience with creating schedules for service Responsibilities : Screens students to determine if further assessment is needed Assesses student's communication skills (e.g., articulation, fluency, hearing, voice, language) to identify communication disorders, determine program eligibility, and develop treatments recommendations Develop IEPs meetings Washington State Rules and Regulations Provides speech and language therapy to students to minimize the adverse impact of speech and language disorders on student success Facilitates meetings and processes for eligible students (e.g., testing/screening, IEPs, parent/guardians conferences, pre-referral staffing, etc.) to present evaluation results, develop treatment plans, and/or provide training to parents/guardians/students, and staff Collaborates/consults with parents/guardians, teachers, physicians, administrators, team members, and other professionals to develop plans The safety and health of students are essential functions of this open position Other duties as assigned Application Process: Current employees of the Elma School District may submit a letter of interest and must have an updated resume with an Elma School District #68 Job Application on file with Human Resources Officer Susie Arnold at ...
