Speech and Language Pathologist (S.L.P.)Classification: ExemptPosition Type: Full time (185 day position)Salary: Teacher/Therapy Salary ScheduleProbationary Period: 90 daysReports To: Supervising Therapist/Program AdministratorSummary/Objective:The Speech and Language Therapist will function as an integral member of educational teams providing direct service, consultation and evaluations to a range of students with special education needs. Therapists will carry a caseload as assigned by the Educational Team Leader and Supervising Therapist in conjunction with other therapy team members and/or local school districts. Therapists will provide services in an integrated manner utilizing 1:1, small group and large group settings and may work in separate classrooms or in integrated settings as appropriate to the student caseload.Essential Functions/Duties:To provide clinical speech and language services to students.To provide evaluations and reports.To participate in team meetings.Provide consultation to teachers and staff.To model appropriate techniques and strategies.Maintain and improve professional competence.To work with families.To maintain appropriate records.To assist in the development of in-service training programs.To work with members of the educational team to develop appropriate goals and objectives for each student.Implement Keystone policies and procedures.Ensure student confidentiality.Other duties as assigned by Program Supervisor.Competency: Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:Skills required to perform responsibilities effectively.Skills required to maintain Registration and Licensure status.Effective interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
Job Requirements
Required Education and Experience:Master's degree in Speech and Language. CCC preferred, CFY's will be considered. MA Department of Education Certification as a Speech Language Pathologist. Experience working in educational settings is preferred. Experience with students who have special education needs. Citizenship, residency or work VISA in United States required. At least one year of relevant experience preferred
