Speech Language Pathologist

Description/Notes:
Primary Purpose:

Plan and provide speech-language pathology services to students with speech, voice, or language disorders. Assess students and provide therapeutic intervention to eliminate or reduce problems or impairments that interfere with their students ability to derive full benefit from the educational program.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan and deliver individualized therapy aligned with students IEP goals
Collaborate with related service providers (e.g. OT, PT), support staff, and families
Monitor and document student progress and participate in ARD/IEP meetings
Collocate and consult teachers

Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Special Education or related field (Masters preferred)
Valid TX teaching certification in Special Education (EC12 or appropriate level)
Experience working with students with significant disabilities preferred
Strong knowledge of life skills curriculum, assistive technology, and differentiated instruction
Excellent communication, teamwork, and organizational skills
