Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract A dynamic opportunity is available for a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to support an elementary school setting from September 2 to December 12, 2025, covering a maternity leave contract. This position focuses on working with students who have autism, emotional regulation impairments, and various special education needs. Location: Edison, NJ - Elementary School Duration: Maternity leave contract from 9/2/25 to 12/12/25 Key Responsibilities: Provide specialized speech-language therapy and support to students with diverse communication challenges. Collaborate with educators and multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs). Utilize evidence-based strategies tailored for students with autism, emotional regulation difficulties, and other special education requirements. Monitor student progress and adjust therapy plans to maximize educational and communicative outcomes. Maintain documentation complying with school and legal standards. Qualifications and Experience: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology. Experience in pediatric speech therapy within educational or healthcare settings. Knowledge of autism spectrum disorders and emotional regulation strategies. Successful completion of Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) preferred or equivalent pediatric experience. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with students, families, and school staff.
