This position offers a unique opportunity for a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to serve a K-12 school district in Georgetown, DE, on a contract basis for the 2025-2026 school year. Working within a caseload cap of 35 students, the role focuses on providing specialized pediatric speech therapy services predominantly for Pre-K and students in grades 5 through 12.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech-language therapy to students in accordance with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
- Manage a caseload of up to 35 students, ensuring compliance with district-specific therapeutic goals and progress monitoring.
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and other support personnel to develop and implement effective communication strategies.
- Utilize dedicated therapy spaces to conduct both direct and indirect therapy sessions, including documentation and participation in paid team meetings.
- Work within the districts established IEP system, with training provided to support system proficiency.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Holding valid SLP credentials with experience in healthcare, pediatric, and school settings.
- Prior experience serving K-12 student populations with diverse speech and language needs.
- Ability to manage a caseload efficiently while maintaining high standards of individualized care.
- Comfortable providing supervision in accordance with district policies, if applicable.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to interact effectively with students, families, and staff.
Location & Schedule:
- Position is based in Georgetown, DE, serving one school within the district.
- 37.5 hours per week during the typical school year from August 25, 2025, through June 15, 2026.
- Remote interviews conducted via Zoom for convenient scheduling.
