Job Description


This position is for a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) serving middle school students in a vibrant K-12 educational setting in Independence, MO. The role is a contracted position for the 2025-2026 school year, providing an opportunity to support approximately 40 students with diverse speech and language needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct speech and language assessments for middle school students
  • Develop and implement individualized therapy plans based on student needs
  • Collaborate with educators, families, and other professionals to support student progress
  • Maintain accurate documentation and comply with school district policies
  • Provide teletherapy services as needed to ensure continuity of care

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA
  • Valid Missouri Speech Language Pathology License
  • Experience in pediatric speech-language pathology within school or healthcare settings
  • Clinical Fellow Year (CFY) completion preferred
  • Ability to provide teletherapy services effectively
  • Strong organizational and communication skills

Location:

  • Middle school in Independence, MO
  • Full-time, 37.5 hours per week
