Speech Language Pathologist

SPEECH LANGUAGE PATHOLOIST - FULL TIME POSITION

We are seeking a full time Speech Language Pathologist to work across three separate schools in Maine: Athens Community School, Harmony Elementary School, and MSAD 46 (Dexter). The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting students with various communication needs.

Requirements

• Must be certified as a Speech Language Pathologist in the state of Maine
• Current Criminal History Record Check (CHRC) clearance
• Experience working with students across expectionalities
• Proficiency in treating a range of communication disorders, from simple articulation delays to working with non-verbal students
• Familiarity and comfort with augmentative communication devices

Key Responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, and cognitive-communication
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to ensure comprehensive care
• Maintain accurate and detailed records of student progress
• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the development fo educational plans
• Stay current with the latest research and techniques in speech-language pathology

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution
• Maine state licensure in Speech-Language Pathology
• ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred
• Stong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Willingness to travel between the three school locations
