SPEECH LANGUAGE PATHOLOIST - FULL TIME POSITION
We are seeking a full time Speech Language Pathologist to work across three separate schools in Maine: Athens Community School, Harmony Elementary School, and MSAD 46 (Dexter). The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting students with various communication needs.
Requirements
- Must be certified as a Speech Language Pathologist in the state of Maine
- Current Criminal History Record Check (CHRC) clearance
- Experience working with students across expectionalities
- Proficiency in treating a range of communication disorders, from simple articulation delays to working with non-verbal students
- Familiarity and comfort with augmentative communication devices
Key Responsibilities
- Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, and cognitive-communication
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to ensure comprehensive care
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of student progress
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the development fo educational plans
- Stay current with the latest research and techniques in speech-language pathology
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution
- Maine state licensure in Speech-Language Pathology
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred
- Stong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Willingness to travel between the three school locations
