Special Education Teacher

Stamford Central School Districthas the following openingfor the 2025-2026 School Year: K-12 Special Education Teacher Valid NYS special education certification (or)certified grades 7-12 English, Math, Social Studies, or Science We are seeking a dedicated K-12 Special Education Teacher to provide individualized instruction and support to students with diverse learning needs. The teacher will develop and implement IEPs, adapt curriculum, and utilize evidence-based strategies to meet academic, behavioral, and social-emotional goals. Responsibilities include collaborating with general education teachers, related service providers, and families to foster inclusive learning environments. The teacher will assess student progress, maintain accurate records, and participate in team meetings and professional development. Candidates must demonstrate patience, strong communication skills, and a commitment to student success. A valid teaching certification in Special Education (K-12) is required. The ideal candidate is compassionate, flexible, and skilled in differentiating instruction across a wide range of abilities and disabilities. This role is vital in helping each student achieve their fullest potential in a supportive, respectful, and structured environment.
