A full-time Occupational Therapist (OT) position is available within a K-12 school setting, supporting students across all grade levels. Located in Puyallup, WA, this contract role spans the entire school year (NSY), providing a stable opportunity to deliver occupational therapy services that enhance student learning and participation.
Responsibilities in this role include:
- Conducting comprehensive evaluations to identify students' occupational therapy needs
- Developing and implementing individualized intervention plans tailored to each student's goals
- Collaborating with educators, therapists, and families to integrate therapy strategies into classroom activities
- Monitoring student progress and adjusting interventions as necessary to promote growth and independence
- Maintaining accurate documentation and compliance with applicable regulations and standards
Qualifications and experience that will contribute to success in this role:
- Valid state licensure as an Occupational Therapist
- Previous experience working in a school-based setting, preferably with K-12 students
- Strong knowledge of pediatric occupational therapy practices and educational environments
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills to effectively coordinate with multidisciplinary teams
