Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract A contract opportunity is available for a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide services in a K-12 educational setting, focusing on middle school students in grades 6 through 8. This role offers flexibility with days worked, supporting student communication needs within a dynamic school environment. Key Responsibilities: Evaluate, diagnose, and treat speech, language, and communication disorders in middle school students. Develop and implement individualized therapy plans tailored to student needs. Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other educational professionals to support classroom success. Maintain accurate and timely documentation of student progress and related services. Participate in meetings related to student education plans and accommodations. Qualifications: Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology, or eligibility status including Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) candidates. Appropriate state licensure for practicing as an SLP in educational settings. Experience working with school-age children, preferably within middle school grade levels. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage students and collaborate effectively. Ability to adapt schedule to accommodate flexible two-day workweek. Location: Paterson, New Jersey, serving students in a diverse K-12 school environment. Schedule: Part-time contract position working two days per week (flexible scheduling) from 7:45 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. This position offers the chance to impact student learning and communication skills while enjoying a part-time schedule tailored to professional and personal balance.
