Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) opportunity is available to cover a maternity leave within a K-12 school setting. This contract position requires in-person service delivery and will begin as soon as possible, continuing through December. Key Responsibilities: Provide comprehensive speech-language therapy to students across K-12 grades. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to each student's communication needs. Utilize assessment tools to evaluate speech and language disorders. Collaborate with educators, parents, and other professionals to support student progress. Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports in compliance with district and state guidelines. Deliver services primarily in-person, fostering a supportive learning environment. Qualifications and Experience: Possession of a Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC). Experience in pediatric speech-language pathology, preferably within school settings. Familiarity with teletherapy practices is beneficial but this role requires in-person therapy sessions. Completion of Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) or equivalent. Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams. Valid state licensure and clearance to work in Illinois. Location: Positioned within a K-12 school located in Joliet, Illinois. Contract Details: Maternity leave coverage position. Full-time hours. In-person only. Immediate start through December. This role offers an impactful opportunity to support student communication development during a critical leave period.
