Category Schools - SLPA Job Type Contract A part-time Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) is needed for an elementary school setting in Waukegan, IL. This contract position will support K-5 students with speech and language services during the 2025-2026 school year. Assignment details: Duration: August 20, 2025 - May 28, 2026 Hours: 18-20 hours per week (0.6 FTE) Caseload: Elementary students from Kindergarten through 5th grade Qualifications: Valid SLPA certification for both school and healthcare settings Experience working with elementary-aged children preferred Ability to implement speech-language therapy plans under the supervision of a licensed speech-language pathologist Strong organizational and communication skills Responsibilities: Deliver speech-language interventions to assigned K-5 students based on individual education plans (IEPs) Document student progress and maintain accurate records Collaborate with speech-language pathologists, teachers, and other school staff Participate in meetings as needed to support student success This role offers a meaningful opportunity to support students' communication development in a school environment with a flexible part-time schedule.
