School Occupational Therapist

Category Schools - OT Job Type Contract A contract position is available for an Occupational Therapist specializing in school-based services for students from kindergarten through 12th grade. This opportunity is located in Elgin, IL, and runs for the current school year. Responsibilities include: Providing occupational therapy evaluations and interventions to support student development and educational goals Collaborating with educators, parents, and support staff to design and implement individualized treatment plans Maintaining accurate and timely documentation in accordance with state and district guidelines Participating in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and contributing professional recommendations Supporting the development of fine motor skills, sensory processing, and daily living activities as needed Qualifications and experience: Valid Occupational Therapist license as required by Illinois Experience working with K-12 school-aged children in a school setting Knowledge of educational and therapeutic best practices specific to school-based OT services Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration Ability to maintain confidential student records and comply with all applicable regulations Location: Elgin, Illinois This contract position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on student outcomes within a supportive educational environment.
