Category Schools - OT Job Type Contract Join our dynamic team as a Part-Time Occupational Therapist providing essential services through the New Mexico Public Education Department! We're seeking a dedicated professional to deliver comprehensive occupational therapy services to students with diverse needs across multiple school environments. Position Overview Part-time role requiring 20-25 hours per week delivering specialized occupational therapy services. You'll work collaboratively with educational teams to support student success through individualized interventions and evidence-based practices in school settings throughout the region. Service Delivery & Caseload Elementary through high school student populations
Students with developmental delays, autism spectrum disorders, and physical disabilities
Sensory processing and fine motor skill intervention focus
Adaptive equipment assessment and training
Classroom consultation and environmental modifications
Professional Responsibilities Comprehensive occupational therapy evaluations and assessments
IEP team participation and goal development
Direct and consultative therapy services
Progress monitoring and data collection
Assistive technology recommendations and training
Collaboration with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams
Documentation and compliance with state and federal regulations
Required Qualifications Master's degree in Occupational Therapy
Active New Mexico occupational therapy license
Minimum 2 years of pediatric or school-based experience
Strong clinical reasoning and assessment skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
Knowledge of special education processes and IEP development
Reliable transportation for multiple school locations
