Speech and Language Pathologist Qualifications: Master's Degree in one of the following fields of concentration: speech and language/communication disorders Must have CCC certification Massachusetts Department of Education Licensure in Speech/Language/Hearing Disorder Minimum of two years of experience in the field Reports to: Building Principal Administrator of Pupil Personnel Services Job goals: Assists the team chairperson in designing, implementing, and monitoring the educational plans for students with disabilities Provides direct service and instruction to those students with disabilities that have been assigned speech and language therapy Performance Responsibilities: Attends IEP meetings Writes IEP speech and language goals/objectives for students with disabilities Delivers direct services exactly as provided for in the IEP Monitors students' progress toward reaching IEPS goals Writes student progress reports within deadlines set by Team Chairperson Administers and interprets diagnostic tests Write evaluation reports Communicates with parents and staff regarding student progress Attends department and principal meetings Assumes responsibility for own professional growth and development, for keeping current with the literature, improved techniques, and screening procedures and attending appropriate meetings and conventions. Performs appropriate duties as designated by the building principal Evaluation Procedures: Performance evaluation is conducted in accordance with the agreement between the Milton School Committee and Milton Teachers Association
