Job Description


This opportunity is for a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) or an experienced Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to provide virtual services within a K-12 educational setting. The role focuses on supporting elementary-level students, primarily preschool through 2nd grade, through effective speech and language interventions delivered remotely.

Location: Virtual (serving students based in Madison, AL)

Position Type: Contract (Non-School Year)

Hours: Approximately 21 hours per week

Responsibilities:

  • Provide speech-language therapy services to a caseload of approximately 40 students, including those receiving related services and case-managed students
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of therapy sessions and student progress
  • Collaborate virtually with educational and support staff to develop individualized treatment plans
  • Adhere to all licensing and professional standards in delivering telepractice services

Qualifications:

  • Valid Alabama SLP or SLPA license required
  • Experience working with preschool to 2nd-grade students preferred
  • Ability to manage a caseload independently as a 1099 contractor
  • Strong organizational skills for data management and documentation
  • Comfortable delivering virtual therapy sessions and using telehealth platforms

Compensation & Contract Details:

  • Competitive weekly pay as an independent 1099 contractor
  • Equal compensation for both direct therapy hours and indirect work (e.g., documentation, planning)
  • Flexible scheduling within designated hours to accommodate service delivery needs
